Aved is a Drug Preparation Premises (DPP) inspected by the Ontario College of Pharmacists. As one of only a handful of DPP facilities in Ontario, we are able to produce and prepare drug preparations without the need for prescriptions. We provide specialty compounded preparations to hospitals, medical clinics and other patient care centres (including pharmacies).
With the adoption of the new National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities (NAPRA) standards for Pharmaceutical Compounding in Ontario, it may be difficult for patient care centres, such as rural hospitals, to make the changes needed to meet the new and more rigorous standards. The capital expenditure to do so is great, and the facility requirements are often larger than the current infrastructure of many providers. Partnership with us allows you to continue to provide the same level of patient care without investing in renovations, additional education and infrastructure changes.
